Printed water bottles are used as cheap promotional tools in many major sporting events. Anyone who hikes, runs or bikes probably owns at least one of them as they offer an easy way to rehydrate on the move.

- Quality. Look for premium quality plastic not containing BPA and screw-on caps with pulling spouts made of rubber that won’t snap or leak. Best quality bottles, such as those made by eBottles, are made of Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) and caps are made of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE).

- Availability of samples. Ensure a comparable sample is sent to check quality level before ordering.
- Delivery times and costs. Stock colors are normally available to ship within a week, but bespoke colors or complicated designs can take 4-6 weeks.
Cheap bottles can be obtained for less than a dollar if buying large volumes but these are usually only suitable for promotional events, when durability is less important. A good supplier will offer premium quality and longevity for only a few dollars per piece, even on small quantities.
